Deniece worked in the automotive industry. She spent the last six years trying to juggle the needs of her family while learning new skills on the job. For the most part, she felt she was doing pretty well.

On a Tuesday, she came into work and was called into an unexpected meeting. Deniece and others learned they were being laid off. Now, she needed to find a new job.

She went on a job board to post her resume and applied to a few openings.

Soon after, she received an email from a potential employer.

Deniece was excited. The company offered a flexible schedule with really good pay and wanted her to start right away.

But wait…


It seems too fast.

This could be someone trying to take advantage of a vulnerable situation.
